First of all, we held workshops for the teachers who works at our NGO primary schools. There are 3 Japanese volunteers in our NGO, so we held it at each place = 3 times! The theme is "Let's give students more chance to think ;using 5W1H questions in the class"
Like "What can we do next?" "Why does it go this way?" "Which is ...?" "How can we ...?" etc..., teachers should ask students more like this, and teachers should wait for a while after that to let students think, not giving answer as soon as teachers ask. To tell these ideas, we have held the workshop.
Learning from a workshop which senior Japanese had held, "You have problems like these?", we took up some problems in their classes using power point,(they agreed too much!) "How we can solve these problems?", we showed them some role-play and talked about that, after that, they made up 5W1H questions that make students to think, in groups.
語学力が不安でしたが、先生たちの助けも借りながらなんとか終了。 We could finish the workshops with teachers' helps... although our poor Bangali language ability... 先生たちに向かって「そうそう、そうだよね！」と言っている！？ Am I saying to teachers "yes, yes!"?
After the workshops, I visited their schools, Some of the teachers were, asking students to let them notice their mistakes by themselves, asking students (giving hints) to let them remember what they learned before, waiting for students to let them say important things by themselves.
でも、まだまだ授業改善に向けて、やることが山積みです。。。 But, there are left a lot of work to improve the classes of our NGO schools...
